1.1 Product overview

Our self-developed soil comprehensive sensor sensor has the characteristics of small size, integrated integration, convenient transportation, carrying, installation, and dynamic adjustment at any time. The appearance, working conditions, safety requirements, functional requirements and communication requirements of the equipment can all be used in different measurement environments.

The sensor is suitable for measuring soil temperature, moisture, total soil salt content (conductivity), soil pH, nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and other parameters, which greatly facilitates customers' systematic assessment of soil conditions. .

The product network transmission adopts a stable and reliable operator network with mature technology, stable transmission, strong signal and wide coverage. At the same time, the device supports timing data collection and active upload to the server platform.

It is widely used in scientific experiments, water-saving irrigation, greenhouses, flowers and vegetables, grassland pastures, rapid soil testing, plant cultivation, sewage treatment, food storage, and measurement of water content and temperature of various particles.

2.2 Quick test method

Select a suitable measurement location, avoid rocks, ensure that the steel needle does not touch hard objects, throw away the surface soil according to the required measurement depth, maintain the original tightness of the soil below, hold the sensor vertically and insert it into the soil. Do not shake left and right. It is recommended to measure multiple times for average value within a small range of a measuring point.

2.3 Buried measurement method

Dig a pit with a diameter of >20cm vertically, insert the sensor needle horizontally into the pit wall at a predetermined depth, and fill the pit tightly. After a period of stability, measurement and recording can be carried out for several days, months or even longer.

2.4 Instructions for use

(1) If you have also purchased our LoRa Cross Bridge Cloud Box, first use the 12V power adapter delivered by our company to power the Cross Bridge Cloud Box.

(2) If the sensor is a power-powered version, you need to use the power adapter distributed by our company to supply power; if it is a battery-powered version, just press the "power" button on the sensor.

(3) After the two parts are completed, the sensor and the Cross Bridge Cloud Box will establish a connection through the wireless module, wait a few minutes, use the sensor's unique ID, and view the data on our server.

Note: The establishment time of the connection between the sensor and the Cross Bridge cloud box is related to the signal, distance, and the default reporting time of the sensor.

2.5 Precautions for use

2.5.1 LoRa Cross Bridge Cloud Box

(1) The equipment is used outdoors and needs to be placed in a relatively open and unobstructed position.

(2) Placed at a height of 4-5 meters to enhance signal strength and coverage

(3) Waterproof treatment should be done for outdoor use.

(4) For the specific operation of the Cross Bridge Cloud Box, please refer to the instructions for use.

2.5.2 LoRa sensor

(1) Use outdoors, and cannot be placed in a low-lying, confined environment.

(2) The equipment is placed in a higher position to enhance signal reception.

(3) Moisture-proof and high-temperature treatment should be done for outdoor use.

(4) All steel needles must be inserted into the soil during measurement.

(5) Do not bend the steel needle violently, pull the lead wire of the sensor forcefully, and do not hit the sensor or hit the sensor violently.

(6) When measuring the frozen soil layer, the moisture value will be low and inaccurate, and the user needs to compensate.

(7) The factory default product is suitable for measuring ordinary yellow soil, black soil, and red soil. It is not suitable for absolute moisture measurement on saline-alkali soils, sandy soils, or other powdery objects with high salinity. It can still characterize the relative moisture difference. For this type of moisture measurement, you should contact the manufacturer to do a separate calibration.

(8) The factory default provides 1.25m long wire, customers can extend the wire as needed or wire in order.
